Good news for Mumbai film buffs. A grand fiesta of choicest Indian and International films will be held in Mumbai under the aegis of Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) now a unit of Reliance Big Entertainment Ltd. as its 13th edition from 13th Oct. to 20th Oct. 2011
The festival will have the following different film sections:
At the recently concluded Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, the following Feature films, Documentaries and Short films were declared winners by the Jury.
GRAND JURY AWARDS:
At Los Angeles from 12th April to 17th April, 2011
On 12th April, the fest will be kicked off with screening of the award-winning and inspiring narrative I AM KALAM, which marks director Nila Madhab Panda s feature film debut after having directed over 60 short films. I AM KALAM is the story of a young boy who struggles to get an education over seemingly insurmountable odds. The film was inspired by India s former President, Abdul J Kalam, as well as Panda s own childhood experiences.
We Care Film Fest is the only festival in the world which is travelling to educational institutions including mass communications institutes and disability institutions to make people aware and sensitise them on human disability issues. On 18th Jan.2011, it came down to Mumbai.

AWARD WINNERS
Two Indian films and One Russian film win the Golden Conch awards at the Mumbai International Film Festival
Russian director Alexander Gutman’s ‘August 17’ won the Golden Conch for the Best Documentary, while ‘The Spell’ directed by Umesh Kulkarni was adjudged the best fiction films.
