After qualifying from National School of Drama ( NSD) and the Film and Television Insitute of India ( FTII) he came down to Mayanagari Mumbai. Along with his colleague Om Puri ,he first started acting in Stage Plays famous being “Salesman Ramla Satish Kaushik ,the all in one actor-producer-director-writer breathed his last on ( March 2023 at Gurugram. His last rites were performed at Versova Mumbai,
After qualifying from N l” and “Bichchu”, but soon started getting bit roles in Hindi films.He had also written the witty and satirical dialogues of the cult movie “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron”. His debut as the director came with the multi starrer “Roop Ki Raani Choron ka Raja” .Unfortunately that flopped and thus a set back was set to his directorial ambitions.He proved unlucky as the director as out of his 15 directorial and 8 production ventures only two films namely “Hum Aap Ke Dil mein Rehate Hain” and “Tere Naam” succeeded rest flopped. He became a known comedian and character actor in Films, TV serials. He also anchored live shows.
Hindi Filmdom and his fans will Miss him for ever .
