A Recap
Celebrating its 10th edition this year, the annual NFDC Film Bazaar has become a beacon for budding filmmakers from South Asia. The platform has been tirelessly evolving into a one-stop shop that encourages collaboration between South Asian and international film fraternities; a confluence point for screenwriters, filmmakers, sales agents, distributors, film festival programmers and financiers from around the world.

For selecting films which are not up to the International Fest standard, one reason may be that IFFI fest is held at the fag end of the year , Most award winning films in Festivals all over the World get seen/ sold in other International Fests . Even in India al regional Fests get over wherein Cine buffs have an opportunity to watch .

- Inaugural Function reduced to a Cheap Entertainment Event, giving it a local colour sans Indian Culture
- World Cinema or Competition Films Selection below International standard,
- Poor Infrastructure , Chaotic systems, More security personnel than Workers
- Rampant Bureaucratic rule sans accountability
- Media/Press ignored in all respects, Pathetic facilities,
- More of Tourist and Spenders’ Festival, Film Industry and serious cineists almost extinct ;
- Film Bazaar, a Flop , Special events ,Master Classes, empty and
- Erratic,unplanned/unscheduled Press Conferences.

The entirely refurbished new face with rich sponsors and supporters this year ,Mami was rechristened as Jio Mami Film Festival , started with a bang and curtains fell with a thud.

Mismanaged, Chaotic Poorly Programmed Cinematic Public Show Shorn of International Standard Serious Film Appreciating Audience and Buffs. Accredited Media and Film Critics, instead of Very Important Persons (VIP) were reduced to Least Important Persons (LIP). Excepting the Festival Director Shankar Mohan, other Organizers have had no Film knowledge or culture like ESG officials.

A Curtain Raiser: Unveils An Impressive Line up and Events and brand new logo
The 15th edition of MFF organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) Under the aegis of Reliance (Anil Ambani Group) with support from the Government of Maharashtra in Mumbai. Chairman and Managing Trustee of MAMI Shyam Benegal briefed the press as under :
