GEETMALA KI CHHAON MEIN VOLUMES 11-15

This is the third pack in the nostalgic series of “GEETMALA KI CHHAON MEIN” which covers and presents the fabulous hit music of 1959 and 1960 under the banner of saregama music company. This time a twist is also included in voume 11 and 12 by introducing a tantalizing beauty with sweet voice alive as MISS GEETMALA. This takes the story and journey of Geetmala forward with fun and laughter.

As a music lover, one must surely have heard the first two packs (Vols. 1 to 10) of “GEETMALA KI CHHAON MEIN”, which the host Ameen Sayani had covered many fascinating aspects of the legendary “GEETMALA” radio show (the most widely and avidly heard in the world, which ruled the airwaves for a total of 45 years.. They also contained anecdotes from the glorious world of Indian film music, and hordes of little snatches from my interviews with top-notch FILMSTARS and MUSIC PERSONALITIES.

This heart-warming retrospect of GEETMALA continues in volumes 11 to 15 in the same unusual, entertaining style : the Annual Super-Hit songs (which one must have heard hundreds of times) played in short flashes in their hit-parade order of popularity – AND THE BEAUTIFUL, IMMORTAL SONGS THAT “GOT LEFT IN THE SHADE” FEATURED IN THEIR FULL, ORIGINAL FORM ! And, of course, there are lots of FILM PERSONALITY INTERVIEWS, too !

Another special feature. Volumes 11 to 15 have all been subtly marked with “tracks” – to facilitate your selective repeat-listening of the pieces you like most ! This aspect will continue in all future packs, too.
